The Engineering team has made great progress on the prototype and are working hard to keep improving it. It started small with a breadboard, Arduino, and a camera. This setup was just to see how thermal imaging, and thermal image processing worked. Then they upgraded. Buying a Raspberry Pi, a small computer that runs much better than the Arduino and has considerable more computing power, a new camera specifically for the Raspberry Pi with greatly increased range and accuracy from the previous one. This was another step towards a finished product and an attempt to learn if the Raspberry Pi is a viable solution to the problem. Then a new camera was purchased, this is by far the biggest advancement in our technology, this has opened up new design possibilities and they team is continuing to make advancements.
